How to report bugs, issues, or suggest improvements to the Zebrafish Atlas.
Issue Reporting Overview
The Zebrafish Atlas team welcomes reports of any issues you encounter while using the platform. Your feedback helps us improve the platform for all users in the research community.
When reporting an issue, please include as much detail as possible. Screenshots, error messages, browser information, and reproduction steps are particularly helpful for our development team.
Bug Reports
If you encounter a technical issue, unexpected behavior, or error while using the Zebrafish Atlas, please report it as a bug.
What to Include
- Description: Clear explanation of what happened
- Steps to Reproduce: Numbered steps to recreate the issue
- Expected Behavior: What you expected to happen
- Actual Behavior: What actually happened
- Browser & Device Info: Browser name/version, operating system, device type
- Screenshots: Visual evidence of the issue (if applicable)
- Error Messages: Any text from error messages displayed
Feature Requests
Have an idea for improving the Zebrafish Atlas? We welcome suggestions for new features, enhancements, or changes to existing functionality.
What to Include
- Feature Description: Clear explanation of the proposed feature
- Use Case: How the feature would be used and by whom
- Scientific Benefit: How the feature would advance research
- Alternatives Considered: Other approaches or workarounds
- Mock-ups or Examples: Visual aids or references to similar features elsewhere (if applicable)
Data Issues
If you identify potential issues with the anatomical data, image labeling, segmentation, or other scientific content in the Zebrafish Atlas, please report them.
What to Include
- Issue Location: Specific page, image, or anatomical structure
- Issue Description: Clear explanation of the data problem
- Correction Suggestion: Proposed fix or correction
- Scientific Basis: References to literature supporting the correction (if applicable)
- Impact Assessment: Potential implications of the issue for research
